The deadline runs from the day you received the decision, not from the date printed on it. Send it so that you can prove the date: in person with a stamp on your copy, or by registered post.

In Austria the appeal is filed with the same authority that issued the decision, not directly with the court: it will either revise the decision itself or pass the case to the regional administrative court.

How to send it

What almost always counts is not the date on the letter but the date it arrives. Send it by registered post, or hand it in and ask for a stamp on your own copy — that gives you the proof the deadline is counted from.
