Germany has coordinated €267 million in civil aid for Ukraine

Germany’s Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance says that, since the start of Russia’s full-scale war, state aid and major donations worth about €267 million have been sent to Ukraine through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.

The shipments include ventilators, medical supplies and protective equipment. BBK receives official requests from the Ukrainian authorities and coordinates deliveries with the 33 countries participating in the mechanism so that aid matches current needs.

The agency also reviews major donations from German companies and organizes transport. Another part of its work is transferring sick and injured Ukrainian patients who are admitted for treatment in Germany.
