More than 353,000 Ukrainians hold valid residence documents in Spain

As of 30 June 2026, 353,009 Ukrainian citizens held valid residence documents in Spain. This was 25,675 people, or 8.2%, more than a year earlier. Permits linked to temporary protection accounted for most of the increase. Women made up 58% of this group.

Among the 208,855 Ukrainians aged 16 and over with temporary protection, 41,564 people, or 20%, were registered with Social Security. The largest numbers worked in hospitality, with 7,807 people, construction, with 6,449, and telecommunications, programming, consulting and related activities, with 4,144. The ministry page states that temporary protection is valid until 4 March 2027.
