Franko Theatre to open Divadelná Nitra festival with Macbeth

The Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theatre will open the 35th Divadelná Nitra international festival. Actors from Kyiv will present their version of Shakespeare’s Macbeth on 25 September.

In director Ivan Uryvskyi’s production, the witches are replaced by screens, algorithms and information flows that gradually influence the characters. The performance explores ambition, power, war and how combat experience changes a person.
