Where Bezpečný bod centres for foreigners operate in Slovakia

Bezpečný bod is a network of support and integration centres for refugees and people of foreign origin in Slovakia. It is coordinated by the Union of Slovak Cities with technical support from UNHCR, while services are organised jointly by municipalities and civil society organisations.

People can turn to the centres for current information and help accessing healthcare, education, social support, housing and employment. Depending on the city, legal, psychological and career counselling, language and community activities, interpretation or accompaniment to public offices may also be available.

Some centres previously operated as Blue Dots and primarily provided emergency aid to people who left Ukraine after the start of the full-scale war. Their work now focuses more on long-term integration, and people of different origins and with different residence statuses may receive assistance.

According to UNHCR’s current list, centres operate in seven cities. Bratislava has LOOM at Česká 267/2, Nitra has COMIN at Cintorínska 5, Trnava has ConnecTT at Františkánska 3 and Trhová 3, and Žilina has Žilinský maják at Horný Val 24.

In Košice, Centrum podpory cudzincov is at Hlavná 68, while in Prešov Klientske centrum pre cudzincov is at Slovenská 3279/40. Integračné centrum in Michalovce operates at Športová 31; UNHCR also lists a location at Námestie osloboditeľov 82 in Dom služieb.
