Slovak police thwarted an attempt to set fire to a Ukrainian drone maker's factory

Slovak police prevented preparations to set fire to a factory of Ukrainian drone manufacturer Skyeton near Prešov. Three foreign nationals are accused in the case of preparing the attack on commission, according to investigators. Around 70 people could have been at the plant at the time of the possible attack.

New details appear in court documents obtained by Denník N. The investigation materials indicate that one suspect, a Latvian citizen, was recruited through Telegram. A day before the planned attack, he received the factory's GPS coordinates and was told to film the fire.

Police detained the Latvian as he collected hidden incendiary materials. Officers also detained a Ukrainian citizen who, according to investigators, was supposed to pick up the Latvian and drive him to Poland.

Investigators have not yet established who ordered the attack. The investigation is continuing.
