Romania temporarily suspends some WorkInRomania functions for D/AM2 visas

After the Bucharest Court of Appeal suspended Order No. 1073/2026 on the shortage occupations list, Romaniaʼs immigration service changed the operation of the WorkInRomania platform. Employer registration, employer authorisation and the filing of the single application for a D/AM2 long-stay work visa have been temporarily disabled.

The immigration service stressed that the reason is not a technical failure. Other platform functions not affected by the court decision remain available. The service is reviewing applications already filed and says it will adapt the procedures to the current legal situation.
