Ireland updates employment permit processing queues

As of 11 September 2026, Irelandʼs Employment Permits Section was processing Critical Skills Employment Permit applications received on 3 September and new General Employment Permit applications from 6 August. Other new applications, excluding those categories and intra-company transfers, were being processed from 21 July.

New Intra-Company Transfer applications were being processed from 8 September, and renewals in that category from 23 June. The queue for all other renewable permits had reached 22 June, while reviews and appeals had reached 24 January. Applications are processed in the order in which the fully completed form and fee, where required, are received.
