Czechia registers more than 1.14 million foreigners, over half of them Ukrainians

As of 30 June 2026, Czechia had 1,140,522 registered foreign nationals, 16,026 more than at the end of the first quarter. They accounted for 10.47% of the population, and Ukrainians remained the largest group, representing more than half of all registered foreigners.

The Interior Ministry also reported 390,812 active temporary-protection registrations. More than 360,000 people had extended their protection until March 2027.
