Czechia will open registration for the special ZDP permit in early October

In early October, temporary protection holders in Czechia who previously expressed interest in the special long-term residence permit, or ZDP, will be able to see the results of the eligibility assessment. Registration for the permit will open at the same time.

The information will be available after signing in to an account on the Information Portal for Foreigners using electronic identification. If the conditions are met, the user will be able to register for ZDP and then book an appointment at a Ministry of the Interior office.

If several family members expressed interest in ZDP as one joint household, only the household founder completes the registration and books the appointment for everyone. The booking date can be changed only once in total, including after a missed appointment. The portal recommends choosing a day when all registered family members can attend together and bring the required documents.
