## About the event

The oldest marathon in Europe and the third-oldest in the world: it has been run in Košice since 1924. The 103rd marathon is on Sunday, 4 October 2026, start at 8:00 on Hlavná Street; the course goes through the city’s historic centre, and athletes from Slovakia and abroad run it. Entrance for spectators is free. As part of Days of Ukraine 2026, Ukrainian war veterans run in the marathon and the half marathon.
